Important/True/horrifying

This blog - http://witoldsreport.blogspot.com/ - is one of the most disturbing accounts of world war 2 that I have ever read. It is the story of a concentration camp survivor. The entry http://witoldsreport.blogspot.com/2008/05/volunteer-for-auschwitz-report... is extremely difficult to read. If you have the time, I would recommend it.

The baby isnt here yet, we're on the way to a doctor to see if it will be induced tomorrow. She's had some contractions but nothing serious. Baby is now 2 days late.

no baby yet

but we're all ready.

I've gone and joined a social networking site

I never thought I would have done that. I don't even like using evite since the reason I host this site is so my friends and I can stay in contact.

Yet, here I am, zeus_chaos on last.fm. I am having a hard time reconciling this with the "visibility" issues I have online. but, I figure, what the hell.

Email seems to work now

I think I have the email settings configured. If you aren't getting site email, go to your user account page (Click on My Account in the menu) and choose to get some messages. I am still testing things, so I am having some strange results. I think the strangest thing is that email is now html formatted. So, it's all good, if just a little too fancy.

So now you see me again

Ok, so here we are, now the website has been upgraded, re-colorized, thrashed, re-upgraded, reloaded from backup, upgraded again, rebuilt from old entries, and so on.

Some things work, really, most things, but some things arent working properly yet. I am sure you can figure out what is and isn't working. I have worked on the site in all my spare time ever since I accidentally converted to php5 and broke, well, everything. The old site, which was running on php4, was simply incompatible with 5 in so many ways. but we're back, and I hope to be better than ever. I haven't got some of the "money" making things set up yet, but since over the course of the website they have made me about zilch, I am not too worried about them.

Coup de Grace as a party control tool.

So, Last Sunday I played 4th edition D&D. As the last thing that happened in that game, I killed a helpless party member. I had my reasons, which I will outline below, but let me tell you I had a lot of misgivings about it. After all, I was a second level, second string character in an adventure, and the character I killed was one of the originals. I generated a lot of animosity and maybe the party can't be rebuilt. I really am not sure, but I am going to try. Anyway, I will be referring my DM to come here to try to understand my character better, but I really didn't have time to explain myself fully that evening.

Game collection and the final frontier

I have way too much stuff. I was just looking at my game book set, and I have 3.0, to present D&D, various champions collections, LOTS of world of darkness stuff, pretty much every shadowrun book ever published, and about 3 grand worth of various board games.

That is one of 3 bookcases dedicated to game stuff. I have another 6 or so bookcases for normal books, and I also have a full basement covered in stuff.

I actually have more stuff than I can stand.

So, I am considering moving to PDF for my game books for 4th edition and newer. It has some advantages, and some disadvantages.

If you're going to play games with the budget...

I respectfully request the entire budget be turned over to the Gamers' Guild, as we have the most game experience.

I bring this up because of this link:
