So, it has come to pass. I, Fidark, have fallen. I hope I have served Tomanak well. Please accept this as my testament and legacy.
My arms and armor are to be returned to the chapter house of Tomanak, to be used as it sees fit.
I have few other possessions, perhaps some personal adventure gear or other belongings. These I would leave to Jada Smithsdotter, my courageous and valiant companion.
I would further request that my gold be given to Xankul, for his use or to further the good of the people.
My room and lodging should be given to Norvasc, my good friend from the longshoremans, who gave me employment when none other would. He and his family can finally have the home the wished for.
Any commercial ventures should be divided equally amongst the remaining partners, remembering to tithe to Tomanak any remainder.
Proposal:
Find another way to locate Shilukar’s lair instead of invading Blackstone Castle
Purpose:
1) Avoid transgression against High Priest Itlestein
2) Avoid transgression of the law of Ptolus
Goal:
1) Obtain information to lead us to Shilukar’s lair to:
a. Discover secret to breaching Lord Abacron’s stasis
i. Prevent the need for Lady Rill and Lord Zavere to offer Shilukar in exchange for the secret, protection of and residence within Castle Shard
ii. Better the relationship of the party with Castle Shard
b. Capture Shilukar
i. Bring the criminal to justice
ii. Remove the menace from society thus making the City of Ptolus and her citizens safer
The Hradani are attuned to something loosely called the "magic field." This is the source of many of the legends around Hradani, how mages targeting them with spells have seen them go haywire. (+2 willpower save) However, this comes at a cost. No Hradani may ever cast an Arcane spell and cannot be a spell casting member of the classes Sorcerer or Magic User.
A Hradani is of the magic field, but cannot use the magic field, without a God's help.
Fidark looked around the well-lit weapons and salle and the prominent crossed maces of the order on the wall. These weren't for show; they were battle worn and cared for.
"My name is Fidark. I be a Champion of Tomanak, and I was looking for the local chapter of the order"
"A Champion! Welcome, Welcome!" With a quick bow, he tossed his practice sword to the younger Thoma, and jumped from the training platform and quickly approached, hands out. "My name is Omacor and I am happy to see you! Come, sit, let us talk a while. Thomas, bring tea!" with a quiet dignity Omacor set his leg on a stool, propping it up, while Fidark sat on a rather wide wooden bench. It was too low for him, but that was common when everyone was so short.
"So, Champion Fidark Welcome to the City! I am head of this chapter, such as it is, and we are at your service. What brings you to the city?"
The gods and goddesses of the "word" that hradani come from are added below. Since the world setting isn't quite what is in use by the originator of these authors, I expect that these gods are simply grafted on to the powers in the world we are in, or mapped to something similar.
THE GODS OF NORFRESSA
THE GODS OF LIGHT
Orr All-Father
Often called "The Creator" or "The Establisher," Orr is considered the creator of the universe and the king and judge of gods. He is the father or creator of all but one of the Gods of Light and the most powerful of all the gods, whether of Light or Dark. His symbol is a blue starburst.
Kontifrio
"The Mother of Women" is Orr's wife and the goddess of home, family, and the harvest. According to Norfressan theology, Kontifrio was Orr's second creation (after Orfressa, the rest of the universe), and she is the most nurturing of the gods and the mother of all Orr's children except Orfressa herself. Her hatred for Shîgû is implacable. Her symbol is a sheaf of wheat tied with a grape vine.

The Icy Chambers and the Treasure Trove
- Fidark, Xankul, Brusselt, Zane, and Jada secure ropes and descend to the naturally formed but unnaturally cold chamber below where Kilan and Modrek await them. Modrek apparently had healed Kilan and returned our bard to consciousness.
- Due to the release of cold with the breaking of the fleshy membrane, two Minotaurs encased in two iced wall alcoves begin to melt. The alcoves are separated by a frozen pool with a relatively thin crust of ice.
- The party prepares for battle but holds their attacks. The Minotaurs shake free from their icy confines and declare, “Ah! The Night of Dissolution has come.”

Dear Tomanak,
Falling asleep after a vigorous day of exercise, I Fidark, Champion of Tomanak, experienced a strange thing. I have dreamed rarely in my life. One of my dreams, which has been deemed prophetic, shows the city of Ptolus being sucked into a vortex of chaos and doom. I work hard to stop that vision from coming to pass.
But such is not my story tonight.
Tonight I have a strange vision, and I am not alone. Xankul, a friend and brother in the order of Tomanak, is with me as well. That was the least of the strangeness, as we had our adventuring gear with us.
