The 24th of Birth in the Year 721 IA – Poor Attendance…for Good Reason
Present: Fidark, Jada
Meeting Place: Ghostly Minstrel
Business:
The Rumor Mill: After the return of Ms. Linelle, the undead daughter of the now deceased Shivel smuggler, Mr. Linech (Lothian Bless his soul), rumors spread throughout Ptolus with speculation about the party being part of the up-and-coming gang of Tomonok, who has sought to bring the undead into the streets. There is high suspicion in the streets about Fidark and his god. Apparently Levaquin has been all but locked up by his mentor Master Feralith. Discussion about lying low until the rumors subsided occurred.

Fidark's Follies

This is the Story of Fidark, a champion of Tomanåk.

"And you take your pox-ridden gods with ye!" And with this, Fidark was thrown out of his father's household. The rough-hewn door thunked behind him as the bar dropped in place.

Fidark reflected on how he got to this point in his life. With a sudden interest in the "unchancy arts" as his father would have it, he had begun to look into the chapter of Tomanak in the capital city. His training and advancement there, from novice to initiate, was swift, if circumspect. Even then, his father didn't approve of it, Fidark's education was nearly complete.

Just last week, however, it had all changed. Fidark still didn't know what gave him away, but the end result was the same. Pennyless, he wandered the streets, visiting the places of his childhood, and to be candid, saying goodbye to them. He didn't see much of a future for himself, ostracised from society for simply believing in a god. The unfairness of it all bubbled inside of him, feeding the Rage within himself.

Gods and powers in a Hradani worldview

The gods and goddesses of the "word" that hradani come from are added below. Since the world setting isn't quite what is in use by the originator of these authors, I expect that these gods are simply grafted on to the powers in the world we are in, or mapped to something similar.

THE GODS OF NORFRESSA

THE GODS OF LIGHT

Orr All-Father

Often called "The Creator" or "The Establisher," Orr is considered the creator of the universe and the king and judge of gods. He is the father or creator of all but one of the Gods of Light and the most powerful of all the gods, whether of Light or Dark. His symbol is a blue starburst.

Kontifrio

"The Mother of Women" is Orr's wife and the goddess of home, family, and the harvest. According to Norfressan theology, Kontifrio was Orr's second creation (after Orfressa, the rest of the universe), and she is the most nurturing of the gods and the mother of all Orr's children except Orfressa herself. Her hatred for Shîgû is implacable. Her symbol is a sheaf of wheat tied with a grape vine.
