In the ever changing realm of virtual persons, I have often been frustrated by the calculations, stats, and sheer amount of data that is available to make up a character. This is of course, the champions gamer coming out in me. Many people just think the stats you have are the stats you are gonna have, but the reality is is that when you hit somebody with an axe, your stats are different if the axe is dikoted, or is the Ares Combat Axe, or your strength spell fails, or whatever. So your stats change - In the example above, Rascal can do 9S normal damage or 4M vehicular (SR 2ND ED Rules) But when his strength spell is dropped, then he's down to 5S/2M. Ah, the fun of DiKote adds even more excitement. what if it chips off?
So I am sure you have your own examples to play around in. D&D is a great one for modifiers.
